Remember the comics back in the day on DD. I found this picture that had my characters in it. Look who else is in it. I remember most of them.

They were the dark old days… I hear they practised cannibalism and didn't even have indoor plumbing back then.

Barbarous!

I vote we ban the first person to start singing “Memories”

I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

Can I sing a song about barbarian days? Set to a certain Beach Boys tune?

*ahem*

I love the rancid clothes she wears
And the way the deer ticks play upon her hair
I hear the sound of the screaming folk
On the wind that lifts her bear pelt in the air.

I'm hangin' with good barbarians
She's giving out depredations.
(Oom bop!)

Sorry. I sometimes break into song like that.

Mr. Bubbles was the greatest! I still have the mini-comic and tin badge that Chappy was sending out to people in the mail at one point. Hopefully some of his work will pop up again someday. :3

Also, gotta' love Donovan from Number 85. ^^<3

I remember how anxious everybody was about receiving anything below a 4 and not being able to appear on the main page for having a below 5.00 average. :)

Gemma!

I remember Gemma. She was great. When I was a beginning artist, she took a liking to my art and when I was sending out T-Shirts for a contest, she won and wanted a t-shirt. She even sent me a picture with her wearing it (^_^).

Lost the picture though :/

I'm an oldtimer…
I just can't remember what my old username was… but I remember seeing them characters. The flame wars daunted me from even making a comic let alone the fact that I didn't even have a scanner.

what were the flame wars?

Flame wars were basically childish arguments on the internet that started with one user giving another user a rating of one on their comic, to which that user would unfairly retaliate with a one on the other user's comic. This lead to back and forward fights between members.

Honesty was meet with a price back then.

Hmmm, if we are using the Greek Ages of Man… the world you describe would be DD's golden age.

I think I date back to silver age (if not bronze).

I miss Vindibud.

Well technically, if we're following the analogy - this would be the Iron Age as according to Ovid and other notable classical sources show that man - i.e. humanity - has declined since the first age, the Age of Gold.

But you are right, DD is better than it has ever been. :P

Yes… You'd be right about the Golden age then… The mythologised dreamtime of DD! Of course!
I'm really quite dense at times :(
