Hi, I'm the Prophet of the Yam. My goal for the next month is to convert as many people as I can to Yamminism. If you can worship a glob of spaghetti and meatballs then how hard can it be to bow down to a yam. I'm looking forward to meeting you all,
Yours sincerely,
The Prophet

I think yam is used as a misnomer for sweet potatoes sometimes. Real yams are a different species that grows in Africa. I think I learned that from either the Food Network or Lupin III…

Yams or sweet potatoes, I'm afraid I don't like either. Is there a devil in your religion? Perhaps I can worship him instead.

Uhh…right. Sorry to disappoint you, but we already have a lot of home-grown evil religions around these forums. I think you'll find it hard to keep up with the competition.

I'm still gonna need more convincing, prophetoftheyam; I've been here for some time and I still haven't gotten around to worshipping crazyninny as yet.

Hmm, I'm skeptical about this new Yamminism thing. What benefits do I get as a believer? What un-benefits do I get as an un-believer? Would I not be allowed to eat yams and/or sweet potatoes anymore, or would I be *required* to eat them in reverence?
