Hi Everyone,
I just joined and uploaded my first comic! I hope I did it correctly.
When I was a teenager, I was a huge fan of every Batman series I could get my hands on. Then I went through a long time of not reading any comics. Recently, I read the Sandman series and was blown away, especially by “The Kindly Ones” volume.
I started playing with a 3D rendering program called DAZ Studio a little over a year ago and eventually bought an add-on called pwToon that let me create illustrations I couldn't dream of doing with pen and paper. When one of my favorite authors, Diana Laurence (a fan of Neil Gaiman), blogged about how she wished she could write a graphic novel, I e-mailed her and asked if she might be interested in giving me a chance to illustrate for her.
After a successful two-page experiment using an excerpt from one of her short stories, she wrote an original 8-page story in the universe of her popular Bloodchained novel (which, at the time of this writing, is the top hit on Amazon.com for the search term “vampire romance” ).
Diana and I are thrilled with how it turned out and are now happy to be sharing it with anyone who's interested! Please let us know what you think! It's called Sign of the Bloodletters and it's here on DrunkDuck and on Diana's website, Bloodchained.com.
