The remaining 71MB are letters, photos, screenshots, megazine scans, avatars, etc.

Now, mine's going to look pretty small compared to others. But still, I'd like to hear how fat your image folder is. Screenshot is okay, too.

Eh, I don't have an -image- folder, really, but the folder where I keep everything art and Nadya related is 1.05 GBs large, and has 559 files and 62 folders in it.

Mine is only 190MB. Not as hefty as it usually is, which on average is around 230-50MB.

I clean it out often though, about once every three weeks or so, just to move out some clutter.

I'm an obsessive collector of reference-pictures, if that explains anything.

I only have 1 folder for my images… if I didn't delete a lot of them, I'd probably be over 100… maybe 200 by this point.

My photobucket and deviantart are pretty much where I keep all the images I don't feel like saving to my computer anymore.

my images are stored over 3 machines, two of which are not connected to the Internet in any way.

same here. and I also tend to collect pretty pictures off the net that I like.

so I have:

image “folder” what the hell is that ? my whole machine is an image folder ! i have four hard drives in my computer (kind of inconveinient because xp can only see 3 of them , and i have to boot in 98 to get at the other one) aside from that i have an 300gig external drive as backup . if i had to guess how many “images” were spread around them (not counting duplicates) i would say somewhere in the range of a quarter million , that seems kinda low though .

Heh, I have art all over too… But my current comic folder is 13.9 gigs, with 7352 files in there.
The reference pics make up the vast bulk of the 7352 (only about 650 megs though), the comic pages make up most of the 13.9 gigs.
There are some back-ups and other comic related projects in there too…

The rest of my old comic pages are in a 9 gig folder. But some of that is made up of back-ups of the new pages.

…other art and images I don't really keep track off… They're just more big folders spread around.

I had more of a look. My current working “art” folder (that includes the new comic folder) is over 24 gigs. The two older art folders are 1.5 and 2 gigs, my other image collection folder is 1.7 gigs (but only some of that is my photos, not much is my art). And of course the old comic folder is 9 gigs.
There's still more stuff,spread around like mad, but that's the big main groupings!

It depends on your work style tough. A professional photographer might be totally filling 300 gig drives each time due to the giant file sizes of all the pics his camera produces in Raw format

2.5 GB but I expect it to grow exponentially now that I have more HD space. I used to have to clear it out and burn backups a lot, so I don't have a ton of old stuff in there.

I recently reorganized all my art so its pretty much self containted… It looks like that contains all the comic remix stuff too though, so thats 198 megs out of my art

Only 91.7 MB in my photography/drawings folder… 172 files, 12 folders…

And my “other people's art folder” is considerably tinier. 7.48 MB - 36 files, 2 folders. Used to be bigger, but my old hard drive is caput.

Thanks for reminding me–My images take up about 3/4 of my hard drive, and I've been wanting to get a external hard drive for some time now and switch my images over to that…gotta make a trip to Best Buy.

Uhm, good question. My current “general art shit” area is 14.6 GB, 1,562 files, 75 folders. But that's just my current one - all the old stuff I filed elsewhere isn't counted… uhm. And I really need to make a new “art area” and relegate this current folder to “Old” stuff. Somewhere. Possibly.

Since almost everything on my F: drive is art related, I'll just count everything there. 34.2 GB

I've got a 1.9Gb Flash Drive and only 614Mb of it is my art…However I do have another flash drive, 1Gb, full, of my artwork…and maybe a few porn pics here and there…
