I'm working for a media production company, where we make short TV documentaries (sort of like those specials on the history channel). I'm currently working on a story about kids and young adults involved in the new media (such as webcomics or online videos). I'm specifically looking for kids or young adults who write and/or draw webcomics. If you know of any, please post here and give the name of their webcomic and the name they write or draw under (could be a real name or alias). Thank you.

I'm not sure the General Discussion would be the appropriate place for this thread, also I'm a young adult.

Man there is this dude named Lefarce who has done it for two years and had a decently successful comic and knowledge of how the community works, and was even briefly picked up to do mobile wallpapers thanks to his talent, that would be willing to give you all the information you need. He was also invited into the Mediocre Militia community, which has connections to much larger artists and writers, and has been a member of various webcomic communities for quite some time.

But I hear he's a crazy recluse who lives in the mountains. Might be hard to get ahold of. ;)

WEll I'm a young adult involved in the indusrtry I guess, but there are plenty of people who've been here longer, try Crocty… I think he'll be perfect for this.

Depends on the age range you're looking for…
Allan and Crocty are both great choices in their teens. D0m is barely in his 20s. Those are just people on my list - there are tons more out there who are very talented.

I've been doing comics since June 2007.
And I'm entering 11th grade.

But, yeah, crocty, is young, and makes some gooooood comics.

As someone said, age range is probably important :)

They've asked for the name/alias of artists and their comic here, which is fine, but I just want to caution people not to give out any personal information. They shouldn't need to know where you live, etc in order to do a story like this.

Personally, I'm 19, I've been here 2 years, and I'm just starting to finally make comics that I would say are genuine quality and not bad(In regards to my comic Nonsensical Ravings).

In terms of finding younger people who are decent comics artists, I would say Allan, Crocty, or Bocaj. A lot(and I mean A LOT) of other 13 year olds on the site are sprite comic makers or just draw really horribly, and half of them are resistant to constructive criticism. So yeah, I'd try one of those three if you're going for the teenager angle.

Well, I've been making comics since I was in 4th grade, and I'm going into 11th, and I make webcomics. So yeah. How exactly would you ask us stuff, if you chose to interview/whatever us? And what kinds of things would be asked/whatever?

Oh yeah

Alias: Wills42

I started out with sprite comics on here in like 2006 or so, and then started with real comics in the MS Paint program the following year. That was when I was like 14/15, and I'm 16 now going into 12th grade so I guess that makes me eligible right?

(oh, and I gots a developing website: www.julescomics.com)

I only turned 18 last month… call that a kid or young adult or whatever you want. :) I've been making comics for almost three years, but I've only been on the Duck for nearly one.

The links to my comics are in my signature - Fox Den isn't on hiatus anymore, I'm just too lazy to make a new banner for it. ^^;

But if I had to pick anyone else… I'd easily opt for Allan. Pastel or AQua_ng may not be bad choices, either.
By the time you finish this, you'll have read it. :3

Sorry, I'm a little suspicious. Mostly because he hasn't specified the company and he has bad punctuation. And he wants to make videos of kids and young adults. You kind of have to wonder.

The name of the company is Lucky Duck Productions. We're most popular for doing the Nick News program and we are a legitimate company. You can look it up. Please, don't send in any nude pictures. I am looking for any kid younger than 16.

You still sound suspicious. Do you a van with candy and a puppy? That might raise your legitimacy points a bit.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe: The Anti Sprite Coalition on fire off the shoulder of Cut and Paste. I watched Top Drawer glitter in the dark near the Forumhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, likeā€¦ tears in the rain.

Not to rain on your parade, but any webcomic artist under 16 is invariably a)A sprite comic author, or b)Not very good, or even both. Good luck though, sir.

Next he's going to ask for children's credit card number… then realise kids don't have credit cards.

Also, if this guy is a child molester/porn addict, he sure is bad at it. He's got the trustworthy demeanor and all but, alas, some of us were just too suspicious of a person asking about kids and stuff. Could've had a better approach. He also can state no proof of actually working for Lucky Duck as all we have to go by is his word. No word of this on the official website either. 4.1 for him.

Crocty and Bocaj are actually pretty good… But yes most of the below 16's are sprite comic… I can't really say artist.

I'm sure there would be no complaints if you were on camera in your birthday suit. In fact, the people filming would be thrilled in many different ways.

Pretty much.

Do a search here on Drunkduck for “Pokemon” and you'll get 296 “comics” just there.
