i got a couple a beers and some snow in my pants. cuz i went sledding

no tablet. :(. or laptop.

but I got a fender stratocaster w/ an awesome amp, almost every Stephen King book, a couple of CD's and money so I can save up for a tablet.

I got a pokemon light strand, a mr. bacon vs monsieur tofu action figure set and 25 dollars. I seriously feel like I'm six again. With the exception that I'm forcing tofu and bacon into sexual positions.

My husband gave me the best Christmas present ever. I was kind of bummed that we didn't have the house decorated–it didn't really feel like Christmas. So, while I was at work yesterday, he decorated the house in Christmas cheer. It was a total surprise and it made me cry with happiness. :)

… Damn. I've been wanting a Mr. Bacon figure. But the possibility of hot bacon on tofu action never even crossed my mind.

I got a brand new 19" HD LCD TV/Monitor to use for movies and working in PS and an old CRT monitor so I can now cross-check colours on multiple displays. A little less work when it comes to print-time.

And as lame as it might sound to anyone not currently poor as piss, I got pretty excited when my sister gave me about a month's worth of groceries.

I got my wife a 20 dollar gift card to best buy.

Not much this year, but I'm content. My sister made me a necklace. My parents gave me a gift card. My brother got me a couple cheap movies that I haven't seen before (Shaun of the Dead and W).

And my brother is visiting, so I'm happy. ^_^ I bought him the new Mario game for the Wii, and my parents gave him a couple new controllers so we can all play.

I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed by this Christmas. My little sister got 20 or so presents and I only got maybe 6(aside from the little doodads in my stocking)…I know I'm too old to get upset about that sort of thing but I still am. :( My “big” present was the complete Twilight Zone collection which is totally awesome, but every Christmas I get my hopes up that I'll get something amazing like a puppy or a new phone or something and it never happens and I get all disappointed.
Aside from that I got a couple comic books, an easel(but it's a bit odd, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it), a new wallet and a Verve album.

My girlfriend gave me the rest of the Owly books that I didn't own, and my parents gave me the second season of Star Trek on DVD. That alone will be enough awesome to get me through 2010…

- The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling. By Henry fielding. (I asked for a special annotated version with illustrations, but got a cheap paperback copy. No big deal, at least it's Tom Jones.)

- Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (already had a copy)
- A bunch of bangles (good ones, too. That would probably be my favorite gift next to-)
- The Pink Angels. An obscure drive-in movie about gay bikers. Freaking awesome.
- A set of blank dvd-r's.
- Um. Some chocolate. Don't know why, I'm pretty sure everyone in my family knows I hate chocolate. But no big deal, stuff to give to my friends on new year's as part of their belated gifts.
- A new mouse…not trackball like I asked, but still, it's a mouse. Beggars can't be choosers.

Not necesarilly my best Christmas gifts ever, but they did their best. At least I got gifts, and got to spend time with my family…

I got a wooden drawing model of a male hand that I've been using almost exclusively to flip people off. ^.^ Also a giant set of Sharpies - and it SNOWED, so that was the best thing ever. Snow in Texas!

I got a Harry Hill Annual thing, Xbox games (Saboteur, Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Avatar), a Harry Potter and Harry Hill DVD, a build your own Morph set, a bandit voodoo doll keychain thing, sweets, necklaces, bracelets and a Spongebob Squarepants Flying V Ukulele with books on how to play and tune it.
I already have two guitars (One electric, one acoustic) so it wasn't that hard setting it up. I've already messed about with it and made up a few short musical loops. I'm teaching myself Adagio For Strings on it already!

Funny that my dad's pretty hardcore atheist and we still celebrate the birth of a religious icon… Albeit loosely.
