This will end up sounding like a shameless plug but that just can't be helped. ;)

I've already been coordinating with several DD webcomics creators and we have launched Off Hours. The first chapter is being written by myself (Allen from Due East), Vickie from Used Books and Tantz Aerine of Wolf and will use characters from (at last count) 7 different DD webcomics.

Now here's the twist: the premise of this crossover series is that all DD webcomics are actually television shows and the characters are actually actors. So in this series, we get to see what these actors are like “off the set,” so to speak. This is all non-canon, so it will not interfere with any of the webcomics' existing plotlines; this is all new stuff here! :)

Now, Chapter 1 is already casted and planned out (for the most part). We are also planning Chapter 2, where the casts will change a bit (which should be fun). But I'm also looking down the road to Chapter 3 and beyond. Not every chapter will have every character from every series. In fact, there's a limit of 2 characters per webcomic (although those 2 characters can change around to allow various “actors” to appear on behalf of that “show”).

If you'd like to participate and contribute writing or art in some capacity, please PQ me.

Please keep in mind, there are some restrictions:

1. This is a T+ comic but it should almost be considered E in a lot of ways.
2. As mentioned, only 2 characters/actors per webcomic/show.
3. No vulgarly named (or shaped) characters/actors.
4. There will be no foul language in this webcomic (it really isn't necessary).

Since this is a collaborative webcomic, we are communicating internally a whole lot! So if you want to participate and you want to tweak your character's dialogue, that's cool! There will be 3 to 4 writers collaborating for the main story, but we welcome input from every artists to help improve the story.

Feel free to suggest story ideas for future chapters.

This will not be set in only one location. It probably won't even remain on Earth very long! So your character/actor doesn't even have to be human (we already have 2 that aren't for chapter 1).

Of course, we can also discuss all of these things here. This seems the appropriate place…

Although I am too busy right now, and my art style and humor probably wouldn't mesh right with everything else.

Oh this is an awesome idea. As much as I'd love to participate I fear my procrastinating skills won't allow me to…so I'll think about it a little more.

I wonder if the actors are all up there because of the writers' strike. lol!

Oh now that's funny! But the strike is over, so…they stick around for the fun!

Such a cool idea! :) I wish I had time to participate! (maybe after Christmas!) Until then, I'll have to be content as a reader. XD
