Hey everyone. Just thought I would introduce myself as I just found and signed up for this website tonight. My name is Jason Maddox. I'm not much of an artist, at least not with my own material. I am mainly a writer and found this site while looking for places to get in contact with talented artists.
I'm also always trying to improve my art skills… I mean hey, if I could draw well enough on my own with my own imagination, I wouldn't need to hunt and scavenge for artists haha.
Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to talk to you and maybe finding someone who's looking to do a serious comic project… but of course, for fun. I'm not looking to make money off of it, or pay someone to work with me. I just want to do something fun.

I don't know what your success rate will be looking for a contributing artists without a story of their own, but best of luck with that all the same! If nothing else it seems you'll have fun here.
At least… that's what they've all told me will happen.

Welcome! Hey, you might find someone willing to collaborate, but it could be a little tricky. I see you've already checked out the Networking sub-forum; good job, that'll be your best bet to find someone. Or you could take my route and buy some canned artist. It's expensive, but definitely worth it. 8D
In the meantime, enjoy reading our great comics. This site is full of ‘em. We’re also full of great artists. In fact, just check to see if the user has a comic; most of the really poor artists won't have one or will be using a sprite comic. :)

Hi, Jason - welcome to the Duck! As Steely said, sometimes it can be tough to find a collaborator, but best wishes on that. If you don't find one, just set that pencil to paper and see what happens. I think you'll be surprised at how much you improve just by working at it regularly ^.^

Good luck with your hunt! It's true, good artists are difficult to find- especially ones who match your style and are able to co-operate with you… but that doesn't mean they don't exist. There's tons of good artists out there who suck at plot and dialogue. Not to mention spelling and grammar too. TT_TT
