I'm probably gonna get yelled at for posting this thread in here, but you guys, stop necroposting.

I know, the forums are a limitless source of fun, but posting in forums over a month or so old just causes confusion. When I came to this category yesterday I couldn't find any of the threads I had been posting in, and instead they had been replaced by threads started by people who joined the D months ago.

I'm just saying, post all you want, God knows I do, but try and keep it to the more recent threads to prevent confusion and people's loss of the threads they were posting in. Some of them were having discussions in there, and by posting in older threads you make them move to the second or third page, causing interesting (or useless, but just as amusing) discussions to die out, 'cuz most of us are too lazy to look beyond the first page.

Heh he. My introduction is still on page one. Guess that I was just that much of a hit. Why not change the settings on the forum though, so that the newest forum created is on top, not the one most recently replied?

I reckon that if you did that, the popular threads would eventually be nudged down to the second page, while other, newer threads which aren't as popular will just lnger on the first page. And since the popular threads are popular, they'd be better off on the first page.

Hmmm…. well then you'll run the risk of having a necropost if it lingers too long like always. I have seen forums that have a secondary lists on the side depicting the top 5-10 post depending on how many posts it received that particular week. I know it seems annoyingly complicated perhaps but I'm just throwing the idea out there.
