Starting a new thread early for this but there's not much to plan just yet. The basic premise of this chapter is to bring HA past the current events of Energize and Heroes Unite that are taking place in Energize: Hunted

This story will see Heroes Alliance go up against Heroes Unite in the midst of the finale events of Energize: Hunted. Obviously for that reason im not giving much away but after this Heroes Alliance will very much be it's own thing!

Anyway for now I just need to see who is willing to throw their character up against the HU.

Although this story is being put together by me, it is actually going to be scripted and organised by Abt_Nihil

Well, for starters I think we should give HUB a scene with the Commander, because they've both know each other for a long time, and would have something to say about the Commander's change in personality. They could even have fight scene if you want!

And you can use Azumorph and any other members of the Oz-Stars as you see fit.

Well I know Peligroso would probably be aching to throw down with anyone, even if they are members of HU, being that he loves a fight and everything, so please use him to his fullest :D

You're free to use Imp on this one, though he probably would do more playing than actual fighting against people he's worked with before.

Destiny is always free to use.

Well, Comet Kid would be in the position that he'd be willing to stand up or speak out against them, but hardly willing to engage in physical violence against them. But, I mean, sure. You can use the character.

And, ThunderCat Jr. and Blitz too considering they were still members of HU last time I checked.

Just realised you may need Relik anyway, but fighting - if somewhat reluctantly - on the side of the HU? Maybe cos of the secret orders from the Commander? That would be interesting… And he could eventually have sense talked into him by Bombshell and/or SHELL if it turns out he's working with the bad guys…?

Abt, if that didn't make sense but sounds interesting, we can discuss it over PQs…?

I think that does make sense. Depends on the details of what Nepath is planning. I'd certainly encourage giving Relik a role like this… it would mean having to squeeze one less plot point into another HA chapter :-)

(The point being that the “proposition” the Commander is talking about on the most recent HA page would be for Relik to be a secret source of information for the Commander about what HA is doing, thus undermining Bombshell's authority and HA's autonomy.)

Question: Since the Heroes Unite web-comic has offically closed shop, does that mean Heroes Alliance will host the crossover, or will we create another one-shot web comic spot on DD to host it?

Seb: Aside from its scope and implications, the cross-over will be a regular HA chapter, most likely #7.

We should borrow theRedDeath's generic, “stand-in” HU heroes from Crossoverkill Ch. 1 p.23 (The powergirl-esque one, at least). It'd be a cool little easter egg for readers of both comics.

I would authorize my characters in this script, but that all depends on where my “What You Believe” script would fall (if anywhere), since it introduces my characters to the universe (though I did write it as before Energize: Hunted, especially with how I wrote Titan).

But then again, What You Believe could be a flashback chapter to fit timeline-wise between previous chapters, like Heroes Unite Chronicles was. I don't know if any of the chapters will be done like this, though.

Should What You Believe be rejected (which I hope not) or if it can fall at least timeline-wise before this issue, I would say my characters of Sparkle and Astral could easily fall into this story.

I'm not really the best judge of this… but if I remember correctly I believe I read that Energize Hunted takes place a few years into the future which is why it's gone from “Commander looking for a mole” to “Commander as a manipulative power hungry lady ready to do anything to take Energize down” so you should be good I think… though I'll leave it to Nepath to confirm that

Energize: Hunted was one year later, I thought. And the Commander's change in personality was the direct result of The Darkness Within, I think, which could conceivably override her search for the mole.

EDIT: Okay, I read the timeline thread again, and it would seem Heroes Alliance comes after The Darkness Within (according to a post by Nepath). So it didn't divert the Commander from the search for the mole. Instead it gives credence to another theory I have: the Commander is the mole. Probably not the most sound theory, as I have not investigated it for corroborating evidence, but I thought I'd mention it.

The Commanders personality shift is initiated in the Darkness Within. Therefore for her appearances in HA she remains pretty much the same and the “mole” sub-plot is entirely Abt_Nihil's thing, so i cannot comment.

Energize: Hunted is one year down the line and the Commander is much more hard edged.

I think that by HA #7 - the HU/HA crossover -, we'll have caught up with Energize: Hunted. Right now I believe Heroes Alliance is somewhere around the time of “The Darkness Within”, or shortly before it. (EDIT: Just checked the timeline - The Darkness Within actually comes shortly before HA #1, and I'd say a few weeks have gone by between HA #1/2 and HA #3.)
When writing a script with The Commander in it, I try to keep in the back of my head that she's a bit more edgy and not as professional as I used to think of her. I think that's one of the reasons why she lets Bombshell do her own thing with Heroes Alliance in the first place - she just can't be bothered with everything, and her scope is getting more narrow. Before The Darkness Within, I believe she'd have done everything by the book, and HA would have had to be a proper part of HU.

Hey, I don't expect you to reveal it until it's time. It's just one of those mysteries which people will formulate their theories for. I just have to go back to the drawing board.

Oh, I definitely enjoy hearing theories! That's what mysteries are for.

And it makes us dwell deep into the original HU stuff to find clues, hints of some Ulterior Motive and perhaps find the begginnings of the mole itself, I really love this kinda stuff since it allows creative thought processes and makes you really double check everything you thought was true.

PELIGROSSO will fight the super strong PRODIGY

AZUMORPH will fight the shape shifting NEW FORM

VIRTUS will fight the light weilding PHENOMENON

SHELL will fight the HU Android LEGEND

Whilst BOMBSHELL will have a more verbal confrontation with the HU COMMANDER

ENERGIZE will have a brief cameo
