Hey, here is a topic for ya!

The comic wasn't too funny for me personally, minus a few jokes here and there.
Now I haven't read most of the archieve, but from what I've seen every comic is one panel. I typically don't like one pnale strips, because it is harder to crack a joke when you lose that element of timing. (However, comics like Fearside created some timing, by adding the caption, which is a technique I love.)
A very simple starting point to get some better jokes would be making comics with multiple panels, or perhaps adding captions.

you know why birds don't write their memoirs? because birds don't lead epic lives, that's why. who'd want to read what a bird does? nobody. that's who.

I sort of appreciate this comics simplicity…but that is ultimately a crippling weakness.
There just isn't that much one can do with some such a limited format.
Though I maintain that something could be made of this if more effort was put into crafting it.
There is simple, and then there is slapped together, and this is just slapped together.
