Quick lesson in copyright law: You can write a novel titled ‘Lord of the Rings,’ without violating copyright law… it probably wouldn't get published, though. titles and common phrases cannot be copyrighted… otherwise we'd all be paying for the right to say ‘merry christmas,’ ‘good morning,’ and WB would be suing game wardens everywhere for telling people what season it is or posting signs.
