“Invasion” is the two-part finale of HEROES ALLIANCE SEASON ONE.

This thread is for artists sign-up. (There's also a more general thread here.)
Please state in your post:
(1) how many pages you'd like to do,
(2) whether you're up for fill-in jobs (i.e. if artists drop out on short notice, you'll be notified and asked if you can fill in; then you can still turn down, of course, but it would be nice if there's a significant chance that you won't),
(3) when you can have your pages done by, and
(4) which e-mail address you'd like us to send you your dropbox invite to (for maximized convenience, we'll share script, references and artwork in a dropbox folder). If you don't like to publicly share your e-mail address, please send me a PQ.

Generally, your deadline will be your page number(s) in weeks (i.e. if you do page 14, you have 14 weeks). Of course, it's always nice to get pages faster!

This thread is for the first part of Invasion, which is organized by myself (since I did the bulk of writing it, with ironhand and irrevenant giving my script another much-appreciated pass). Irrevenant and Ironhand did the original plotting, and Ironhand will be writing the second part.

This part will have around 30 pages, so… come one, come all! ;)

I'm thinking maybe three pages could work for me.

How is this coming along in terms of script, abt? Last I heard, me and irrevenant had scripted the rest of the issue and you were looking it over.
I'd love to do some pages for this, it's been quite some time since I got a page drawn.

So I figure that makes: Genejoke 2 pages, sux (I'll just go ahead and interpret “a few” as “2” for now, you can always do more later! ^_^) 2 pages, shastab24 3 pages (but please do those for the RISE short first, they're rather urgent), ironhand maybe also 2 pages for now?, hero 2 pages, melsr007 4 pages… that makes a total of 15 pages for now. The script is finalized for the first 15 pages anyway, so I'll assign pages ASAP.

Also, PQing me your e-mail adresses always helps with distributing invites for the dropbox! ;)

I can do a couple. (*not* the double-page spread. That deserves a better artist than me. :))

Assuming the script is still the same, abt, could I tackle Page 9?

Been years since I've been on the duck, I'll take a 2 pages. Figure this will be a fun way back.

One small issue though, my computer is shot, I can pencil and ink, but would anyone be willing to color?

I should have no problem providing colours if you're happy for me to do so.

I feel like this is a long time coming, and I should've stepped up sooner. BUT! I am a weenie, and coward.
BUT! I always had SO much fun doing this comic with everyone, and I love where it's gone. If you're still looking for artists, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO BE APART OF THIS WONDERFUL PROJECT ONE LAST TIME!

Eric, I might just be being paranoid but it's probably worth PQing your email address to Abt rather than posting it here. Spambots scan all sorts of public sites looking for email addresses to add to their databases.

So, I hope everyone of you has received a dropbox invite by now! The script and page assignment list should be in the folder in the next couple of days.

@ironhand: Could you please add some drawings to the “reference” folder? Off the top of my head, the J'Saari and their ships? And I'll make sure to assign you page 9.

I uploaded the script and page assignment list. We're currently missing artists for 6 pages, so please shout if you can do some of these! :)

Also, please upload reference pics as far as possible, and request references as far as necessary.

Amalgam, Drones and The J'Saari themselves have been added to the references. I'll get on my page ASAP.

I've made a design for both J'Saari mothership and the Drones ship, but I haven't got the creative mind to colour them…would someone be up for that? Generally thinking a lot of silvery colours with a hint of purple.

El Cid just volunteered to do a page over here.

He said he'd need quite a bit of lead time.

I sent him a PQ. Any suggestions on which page he should do? (Probably one that doesn't have too many characters on it. Maybe a page featuring several drones, since he could use the same 3D model…)

Sounds reasonable to me. Page 13 or 14 maybe? Relik might be particularly hard to create in 3D though. I'm not sure if El Cid creates 3D models or sticks with premade assets.

This is a update on my pages Just finish page 18 just have to add the word and sound effect lots of hero on that page and it was fun too :-) Now I'm working on page 22 well it almost done ;-) and I just drop off a promo for Invasion in the drop box.
Two more pages to go let the fun begin lol.

Oops, hadn't realised pages 13 and 14 were already assigned.

Maybe page 30 then? It's comparatively simple and it's a loooooong way off so he'll have plenty of time to work on it? It only has Bombshell, Amalgam and a drone in it. The J'saari mothership required may or may not be an issue. Do we have a better reference pic of those yet, BTW?

Still waiting on a colourist to offer their services to help with the mothership, irrev. I think I still have the design laying around somewhere.

Will flats do or do you need shading et. al. as well?

I'll send you the ship designs ASAP. I've just found them and need to alter one or two things beforehand. As for colours - I want The J'Saari and their ships/drones to always be pretty basic and similar. One: for practical reasons with our many artists, and Two: They're a stark contrast to the HA, who are all “fighting for something” instead of the J'Saaris very hivemind and robotic approach. So something similar to the drones? A purple-metallic tinge? Majority is up to you though.

Do you have a cover artist? I couldn't reliably offer to do a page but if you wanted me to do the cover I could?
