I have decided that I'm going to be more active here, again. I had the most fun being a webcomic artist, here, in this community.

I kept wandering away, for various reasons. Sorry.

But, I'm back, you guys just have to deal with that. :)

It IS so nice seeing us all coming back. I know I left because of Wowio. They destroyed DD and Wevolt (whom I signed a contract with). This place was, and is the best, again!

They didn't mean to I think, they just didn't really “get” DD at the time, Seeing it as an asset because of the comics and not realising quite how tied in everything was as a social community that really relied upon the comic hosting tools as they were.

WeVolt was Jason and Maddie's (formally Matt), special project that was supposed to take comic hosting so much further, but it was just TOO complicated and buggy for prime time. It was like their own version of WordPress. Wowio really thought that would be the way forward and they'd transition the DD people to that instead eventually.

And then the redesign of DD ran into issues… It stripped off usability from the site in an effort to streamline and simply things and couldn't be finished or bug fixed because the GFC killed all funding.
None of the players at Wowio meant harm to DD, it was just a whole series of wrong assumptions and bad luck and bad timing. :(

Chief bad assumption was that the community would go along with and adapt to big changes. Nope XD

Welcome, great to see you and others coming back from the future. The most obvious signs of the Wowio redesign will soon disappear too, making this will feel like a whole new/old place.

Well, I don't quite remember what they all mean, but 1 page, 500 pages, 1000 pages & featured for sure.
