This is the worst part of winter, I hope it doesn't last much longer. Of course March is mud season for you like it is for me (although much wetter and muddier for you because of your location), then April should be better. Oh, if you need a new pair of gloves, please let me know. Having a spare pair could mean you always have one pair that's fairly warm.
yeah was ok till we got into negative numbers.. mostly winter has been mild this year up till this point..... I have a few gloves so I can rotate them to let one pair dry.. but its frozen right now... going to do laundry so I think I will take it with me wash and dry it with the laundry..
I think you covered this in your comic on keeping warm in the bed of your truck. Get some styrofoam boards, and cut them to size so they cover up your floor. The added insulation will also help lower your heating bill. And your gloves won't freeze to the floor. I'd go a step further and get some plastic drop cloths (used for painting) from Home Depot or Lowes. It's $8 for six 9x12 ft sheets. Tape it to the inside of your trailer (ceiling and walls). It'll look terrible, but the air it traps between the plastic and trailer shell will act as insulation. A tarp over the outside of your trailer (with some wood blocks as spacers to create an air gap) would do the same thing, and be easier since there's no furniture to tape around. But your trailer park might not allow it.
I got insult foam sheets in place inside..packed the skylight full...and covered all the little doors..because the original heat system dosen't work that's blocked off with foam..I got a skirting around it..not alowed to trap so did plastic inside a product made for covering windows that's heavier then most plastic sheeting...was doing ok with that then we hit the sub zero temperatures...and the glove froze.. thank you for the ideas...
You live up north where the Super cold front has hit? We've been hearing of temperatures as low as -50/F at times. That's pretty darn cold. here's hoping your place warms up enough and your gloves can defrost.
yeah almost to Canada.. we've had wind gusts up to 45 miles an hour tonight..officially wind chill has been -15 -25.. the little camper just really isn't made to stand the cold... so it warm enough not to die inside but cold enough to keep a jacket on.. .
