Glass Hearts is a true soap opera comic of huge scope. The author, Star_samurai, describes the genre and theme more knowledgeably than I possibly could:
“Shounen-ai & soft yaoi / angst / romance / comedy/humor After two years, a 16-year-old Charlie McDermott returns to his hometown and to his previous friends. Many things have changed, some things haven't. Old wounds will resurface, and new wounds will possibly appear as well. This isn't just a love story. This is a struggle to survive. A struggle to find an identity.”
This is a massive story, and as a bonus you have TWO versions of it to read- the original version and the new improved one, for much nicer art and much tighter writing. Glass Hearts is not to my personal taste, it has effeminate boys and a lot of relationship heavy, unrequited guy romances. BUT this is a very worthy piece of work and if we only featured stuff that was to our taste then a lot of great projects would miss out. So if you fancy getting a fix of some very manga style relationship romance with gay themes, this would be the work to check out!
