Happy Thorsday everyone!
It's that time of week again when I display some of my on-the-go digital art. Today it's pics from a life drawing session I had on Monday night. All the pics are done on my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet with Sketchbook Pro by Autodesk. I did line drawings for the 5 minute poses and tried a full colour painting for the hour one. Initially I was just going to do a laborious figure drawing, but then I realised I basically have an entire mobile art studio in that tablet so I thought I may as well use it!
It's a bugger of a load easier to do full colour paintings on a tablet than lugging around and setting up a paint set or colour pastels (been there and done that a bazillion times!).
If I'd have worked longer afterwards on the final pic obviously I'd have got rid of the blur effects and tightened things up, but this was only a relatively quick study and I wanted it to stay fresh, not overworked.

You know, that's the interesting thing aobut figure drawing classes. if the person is say some kind of graphic illustrator, the faces, even if they're more realistic, ALWAYSh ave a certain style to them. I can totally see that in these. They're totally yours, Oz.

I'm impressed with how straight the lines are on the black boxes. You obviously have a very steady hand ;-)
