Solona Amell wakes up recovering from an attack that left her gauze-wrapped and wounded weeks after a battle won by Darkspawn. Greeted by a familiar face, Morrigan briefs Solona that she was rescued by Mother at the eleventh hour and that Mother would be pleased with her healing progress. Solona’s gradual return is noticed by her friend, an armor-clad paladin, who knew her before the accident. A circle mage by trade, Solona has the ability to become enveloped in magical energy which is a strength and a vulnerability at the same time. The healing ability is the equivalent of applying a bandage to a paper cut.

The art spans a drawing window that originally started in 2018 with the initial character designs at the start of the story and quickly updates to the latest art style by the end of chapter one. Striking selections of magentas, violets, and blue color combinations that resemble illuminated cotton candy.
