What is the crisis? I'll let Xade speak, copying her words from her fundraiser:

In the past year, our lives have been turned upside down. My mom suffered a severe stroke, leaving her unable to work or live independently. We've been doing our best to manage, but now we've hit rock bottom. We've been served with an eviction notice and are at risk of losing the only roof over our heads.

Adding to our struggles, our only vehicle has broken down. Without it, we have no way to earn money, get groceries, or attend medical appointments. The repair costs are minimal compared to the overall expenses, but every bit counts right now.

To make matters worse, we recently lost $500 in food stamps, leaving us starving and barely getting by on bologna sandwiches and other cheap foods. I must walk to the convenience store up the road to get things to eat and drink with dwindling food stamps. We are sitting on a healthy food card that we cannot use because we cannot go to Walmart.
