Hello, everyone, and welcome to Panel by Panel, a periodic exploration of comic panels around The Duck. This will be the final update to this version of Panel By Panel.

First of all, it has been a pleasure to write here for y'all over the past two years. Can you believe it's been that long? In that time we've covered dozens of comics from the community and seen a wide variety of work. We've even taken time to try new things as well. The feedback and conversation have always been welcome and I enjoyed writing these quite a bit.

With that said, I am moving on (sort of). I am still going to be active here at The Duck, but I am pouring more of my writing into the overhaul of my website. I recently made major changes to it that emphasized a publishing space of my own, and I want to focus on that. I've already published a lot, including relaunching a horror column I used to write elsewhere. I am relaunching Panel By Panel there, a bit broader in scope.

The new version, of Panel By Panel, which I wrote about here, will allow me to write essays, analyses, and reviews of comics of all kinds. It's not so much Panel By Panel is going away, it's just growing into something a little bigger.

Also, this isn't the end to me covering your comics in Panel By Panel. I've already spoken with OzoneOcean about continuing to post stuff here as it relates to The Duck. So that means analyses and reviews of comics pulled from this community are on the table, not only at my site but shared here as well. Just drop me a private message if you have something you want me to take a look at. You can also comment directly on the posts there (please do).

Other than that, I just wanted to write down my sincere appreciation to you all for letting me take up some space here every other week or so. I've been with The Duck since damn near the beginning, back when it had its alcohol problem. It was a nice way to give back to a community that meant a lot to me, especially as I was first creating comics on the internet.
