Shiori is almost mechanically shy: she just doesn't know how to communicate with other people, not because she's scarred but because she doesn't understand the process. However, the charming Toshiaki has taken her under his wing and he's working at smoothing out the process for her, starting with the pretty Keiko. Poor Shiori is trapped in a prison of her own reluctance to communicate but Toshiaki is chipping away at the blocks slowly. The story is a slice of life drama with a school setting. It's quite uncompressed and communicates a lot without words- just using looks, expressions and clever panel layouts and design.
The art is all black and white, heavy gestural line work, with drawing in a manga influenced style. There's some really cool angles, perspectives, layouts and design work in later pages. The art just gets better and better.
