Actually, it is more of a general male thing for a man to like a some what violent woman. Plus the whole hitting stimulates the male cheesiness section of the brain, for the punnier it is, the better. Oooh, and most of all, the attention. We have fragile egos and the bashing is showing that we have stood out enough for the lady in question to put feelings to fist.
