Episode 116 - Bravo in the Valley of the Dolls

This week Banes and I speak to the dangerous, paranoid, recluse known ONLY by the mysterious call sign: Bravo1102. We tracked this fearsome wildman down, deep in a dark forest, living alone in a lonely lone shack, feeding on squirrels and noodle flavoured earthworms. It was from this flawed mastermind that we gained fascinating insights into creating comics with photography, plastic action figures, painstakingly constructed sets, and hand built models. For Banes and I it opened up a whole new world... but at the end we realised that we'd only barely scratched the surface, so next week we plan on retracing our steps back to the lonely shack in the deep dark forest and once again confronting Bravo1102 and pumping him for all he knows!

Banes and I interview TheJimmy! TheJimmy is the Authour of the very popular and very long standing autobiographical comic Been Better! This is our second try at Quackcast 113, the first try didn't record so we came back another day to try again and it worked, hooray!!!! TheJimmy gives us a deep inside look on what it's like and also what it means to be the writer of a long standing autobiographical comics strip, where you can look back on pages and see significant events of your life rendered in a comedy fashion. Been Better has been witness to his many relationships, old friends, numerous valentines, career changes and a lot of growing up. But he also tells us about how he uses real life events as jumping off points to surreally humorous flights of fancy. It's an interesting chat! Also, the number 23 is watching you.
Episode 108 - Skool is in Session!

This is the second part of our back to Skool special. Here we continue with the holiday fun spirit and just chat about whatever interested us over the season, mainly MOVIES... The Avengers, Hawkeye is pointless, Thor is too emo looking, Sky Captain and the world of Tomorrow, Angelina Jolie looks like a Martian but is better looking than Ozoneoncen, and Ozone is gay for Captain America, Mr and Mrs Smith is a bad movie, Moon is wonderful, Skool likes maical reality, movies are great for background while drawing, Banes loves the Burbs, Tom Hanks was better in dumb comedies, Raising Arizona rules, Hudsucker proxy was groovy, Burn After Reading is funny. Then Skoolmunkee asks Banes and I some amazingly ridiculous questions. Banes' responses were hilarious. Banes is getting metal underpants for Christmas next year, listen to find out why! Skoolmunkee is evil. Lastly: Make up a Sandwich and or a cocktail based on your comic and tell us about it in the comments!

Happy new year! Here we all are, back to Skool! Banes, Skoolmunkee and I have a meandering, twisting, turning conversation, spanning many silly subjects in this New Year catchup Quackcast where we find out what each other was doing over the holiday, what comic related stuff we've done and thought about, what we got for xmas, what comic films we've seen and all that marvellous stuff as we listen to ourselves talk and feel massively important and clever! ...at least that's the case with me, the other two are actually pretty clever. In this Quackcast Banes and I come back to our series on real world comic collaboration. If you've been listening a while you may recall that he and I decided to start up a comic together between the two of us. We talked about the process of getting that started. Here we revisit the idea and talk about how we're going with it so far... have there been any arguments? Any flakeouts? Disasters? Can Banes get his soufflé to rise juuuuust right? Will Ozone fail in his first catwalk runway show? The viewers must know! A collaborative comedy comic is a hard road when you're starting from scratch and we give you a real world view on how we two are doing with it. For Quackcast 101 and 102 now and the coming of Halloween Banes and I returned to the theme of horror, opening the subject up to contributions from the community! We start off with a tale of horror and fear from the cold, white frozen north... And then diving back into the subject of horror pop-culture, delving into many other interesting sidetracks along the way like people with weird eyes and other standard horror techniques. Again Banes was our editor and musician, outdoing himself masterfully with his SFX and amazing horror music... This week, staring Ozombieocean, Ghoulmunkee and Pains!
Episode 94 - Character Intro Webcomic Special

Banes and I give the webcomics of Drunk Duck a chance to shine! For Quackcast 94 we asked our webcomic creators to write short intros to their comics from their comic character's point of view as a way to creatively advertise their comic in a really fun and entertaining way, as well as giving us a short little Haiku inspired by their comic. We had lots of great contributions from many creators which we had acted out by various people who did amazing performances- Don't miss Bravo as Grey guy Hank, Abt_Nihil doing Holon, Ayesinback doing Tao of Kenji, Pit Face doing Gretchen from Putrid Meat, Usedbooks' friend doing Usedbooks, and Skoolmunkee, Banes and I acting the rest. We'll put Gunwallace's song in NEXT week, promise!
