Episode 469 - The cartoons that date us and Discord

We're talking about the cartoons that made us! This was inspired by kawaiidaigakusei's newspost from last week about Daria. Daria was a really cool cartoon from the late 90s. It was influential to her, to me as well, and I thought it would be a great idea for a Quackcast to talk about the other cartoons that were influential to us at certain points in our lives.

There were a lot that were part of forming my ideas… Early on it was action stuff like Robotech, Starblazers, Kimba, AstroBoy, Inspector Gadget, Scooby Doo, Thundercats, battle of the planets, transformers, Galaxy Rangers, Centurions etc. Later on it was Bevis and Butthead, Daria, Mission Hill, Rugrats, Babar, Dexters Lab, Roko's Modern Life, Aeon Flux, The Maxx…
It's interesting how these things can influence you. I'd love to hear about your cartoon influences!
Also, one of our DD members, Boundbun, was keen to set up an official DD Discord server because that's the way of the future! People prefer to communicate in different ways from forums and Discord is the current big thing. We should have a link going up on the site soon, but for now you cn find it in the links bellow. It's really pretty similar to the old, old style Mirc chatrooms we used to have back in the day actually. We have quite a good talk about it on our Patreon only video.
