I had the page already to go this morning but got interrupted and then spent the rest of the day thinking I'd uploaded it, until now! Anyway we're here now :)
Janey's suggestion of a night out is the start of the snowball I was talking about last week. It's an event that plays a big part in our story because it has an impact on everyone who goes in different ways.

Hi DV, sorry I'm late responding here I thought I'd posted with the others! I know you stalled me on this one because I was trying to think what Nikki has said to, or about Janey in the past. I think on the whole though Nikki has always liked Janey apart from being disappointed in her having that affair.

Nic and Ben: Absolutely! It's a pretty gloomy page on the whole with everyone but Janey seemingly fed up which was pretty deliberate really as this is really where all their relationship doubts and issues start to gather momentum, and of course Janey as always seems to somehow be at the heart of it all!

Janey & Nicki do seem a bit cosy don't they . . . just friends being comfortable with each other or some serious flirting going on? And 'Colours' is a reference to the Nightclub were Officer Jenny showed up over four years ago (real time) and it's there this snowball starts forming. That's interesting. Big surprise for me is that Sarah's wearing heels, I don't recall paying any real attention to her footwear before so she may have been wearing heels for the whole of the comic, but it just surprised me. Or are comfortable shoes too much a cliché these days? :)

Fruitbat: As for the 'snowball' it is definitely a ref to the same nightclub and partly connected to that particularly night via Nikki but nothing that special as such, just a combination of issues that will come more into focus on this coming night out :)

Fruitbat: Janey maybe flirting but I think Nikki is probably just happy to have her company although maybe she is hinting Janey might consider being her happy ending! Who knows ;) As for Sarah's heels haha you're right, I normally put her in flats although I'm sure she's worn high heels on nights out before. I just used them this time to suggest that maybe she had been looking foward to a nice night out with Lucy but seems to have come home disappointed.

Janey really shines on this page. Blond hair, cheerful outfit, happy and smiley. The other two, on the other hand... Nik sounds burnt out and Sarah, all in brown, has this kind of mixed-up-grumpy vibe going. It strikes me that Nik might be speaking for our author here and that makes me a little sad.

Fred: I think Sarah has mixed feelings about Janey lately, especially knowing she is now single again and floating around a lot lately, plus she seems unsettled in her relationship with Lucy now too so I think she has a lot on her mind. Nikki often speaks for me when it comes to comic making for sure as it's my first hand experience I'm relating to most of the time but for her it's the thrill of sharing Sarah's life whereas for me I get to be all of them!! :)
