The story so far:

Sarah and her ex-girlfriend Janey have been invited to dinner by a new friend of Sarah's who came across them while they were searching for the elusive witch bottle.

Thanks for all your lovely comments last week, I've been struggling to keep my enthusiasm going for the last couple of weeks and it was a great morale boost.

I mentioned blood splatter duvets last week and even looking at them makes me shiver but they are out there (US only) and according to the listing 16 sets have been sold already. I can't imagine what my neighbours would think seeing these on my washing line!! Maybe for Halloween ;)

I love when you get the chance to slip in little details in your panels. Like the WW II era gas mask in the first panel.

Jason: It was really Becky's idea, she found an old film poster for a movie called Jail Bait but it didn't fit the frame very well and it was all men so I dug out an all women one instead as it felt more fun.

Nic and Ben: The sight of blood always makes me feel uncomfortable at the best of times so I find this duvet set really gross, and it does make it worse that the pattern and colour appear so realistic.

Fred: Sarah is driving so it has to be either water or lemonade I should think. I've never seen the film so I can only guess they have to improvise but it seems to end up in a quarrel as to who goes on top!

Well, so far dinner seems to be proceeding smoothly. And it's nice to see that this Hopkins business is going to be resolved. Or is Janey's "Sarah's done her research" remark the prelude to disaster? ………………………………………………………………Anyway Sky, glad to hear your morale's back up, but it was a fun strip last week & it's a fun strip this week. Love the little details of the figurines & the big detail of the movie poster!...…………………………………………………………….The duvet set? Hmmm . . . everyone's tastes are different, but . . . "The evening was going great, and it just seemed natural to move things to the bedroom . . . and the next thing I know she's out the front door like a rocket!"

Fruitbat: I was going to include a scene where Janey goes to the loo and comes back ashen after going into the bedroom by mistake and seeing this duvet set with crime scene tape all around the bed but then I felt it was probably taking the joke a bit too far! :)
