Interlude II: Of Things Yet to Come; Page 17

With my thesis work going on, I've had very little time to do any manuscript work on the story and I've already been one day late on an update and nearly missed several others. And now that I'm about to start doing regular field work, things are probably going to get more chaotic in the near future. I'll still try to keep things updating on time, but I figured I'd just let you al know what my situation is right now.

Anyway, enough jibber-jabber; on to what you all really came here for.

It seems that our scientists may have successfully wiped-out the virus before another outbreak. But that doesn't mean it's gone for good. Hell, even though smallpox was officialy declared eradicated in 1979-1980 doesn't mean it's nonexistent. In fact, both the USA and Russia have strains of smallpox kept in secure locations under lock and key, specifically in case the other should try to weaponize it…

…don't worry, what you experienced just now is just a horrific feeling of dread piercing your very soul. Anyway, that'll be all for today's history lesson.

Anyway, I'm going out to the field again tomorrow, so I'm signing off. Until next time, this is Dave, here at All Saints.
