So bad feelings, did they just get worse?
Just so you know, since it's my birthday this saturday, I'm going to put up an extra page then.
He said “Do you think it suits me?”
French fact: the pronouns “Tu” and “Vous” can both be used to refer to a person in the singular (vous is second person plural, usually). ‘Tu’ is used with people with whom you are familiar with, or friends. ‘Vous’ is used (in the singular) to maintain a distance between yourself and the subject. Notice how Jacques is using ‘tu’ with this lady, but he uses ‘vous’ when talking to Alistair?
I use ‘vous’ a lot, even with people I know. I think I'm subconsciously maintaining a distance between myself and others. But I only took one psych course, so what do I know?

It's a shame I don't get to browse DD more often these days thanks to my work schedule, but just caught up again. You're comic is what makes me come back to DD every time.

As a french born speaker, I must say this one is really disturbing... It makes it seems like they're really intimate, like old pals; but it conflict with his greeting, which is most respectful! I'd rather say : -- Pensez vous que cela m'ailles ? -- or even more dignified and ironic -- Pensez vous que cela me sied ? -- My 2 cents

I noticed. But then it's not too uncommon to use "tu" when chatting up a chick, is it?
