A Differance of Tone

Indeed.
This came about when I noticed how much differantly I spoke to each person through text. With my parents, it was always perfect grammar, perfect punctuation, and full-length words.
With people who are my friends, I worry a little less about punctuation and grammar, but still tend to use full-length words, and maybe a smiley here and there.
With my best friends, however, I go all out. Text-talk, smileys, and strange abbreviations abound.
I would say this is strange, but it happens when I speak to people too. From what I've heard about my fellow humans, I'm not the only one who does it either. Some people even get into accents.
Sort of an interesting thought.
