Space Slave commentary page 04

Well after all that, time for some commentary.

Security guards as technical advisers? Poor fashion sense in a monotone wardrobe? (Yes, I'm someone who's all about color. One color? Accessorize! But nowadays I wear mostly sweats or my monotone work uniform)

Oh wait those are Aordians, including a commander from the Security Intelligence Group. They remove their insignia and are the technical advisers for Belle's films? It is my universe.

Michelle mentions that the whole Space Slave story is an analogy for high school. Between peer pressure and cliques even in the age before social media there was a feeling of mind control in the urge to conform. And even monologues from people whether parents or peers about how to do everything. Even stripping away identity and enforcing a dress code? Sure it's somewhat erotic hyperbole but then that could be the undercurrent of how girls often end up acting teen mating rituals. And then the imagination twists it around into an extreme story going farther than those dystopian books that are part of the curriculum colored a little by late night exploitation horror films on cable. Michelle has some issues. And Trish remains her cynical self.
