The Feline Empire has special intrest in this little village. You see, there's a mine here that has some very unique rocks that the Empire really wants. Rather than send feline workers to this mine and pay an honest wage, they have taken the surviving villagers and turned them into near slaves.

Precious stones, huh? This has gotten more interesting. It’s becoming more apparent that the attack was deliberate after all instead of random military bastardry. I wonder what they’re gonna say their rehabilitating the mice from? Obviously they need to get over their nasty addiction to free will and honest wages.
