Plus, I really do want to see him succeed. He might no be doing very well now, but I figure if he gets his act together before he does another donation drive, it'd be great.
I think every artist has fantasies about doing what he's doing: drawing what you love and riding on the donations of fans who happen to love the same things. I empathize with him, and I don't want to see him fail, but if he can't deliver what he promises, it just isn't going to happen.

I'm not even angry. I'm just sad Weaver doesn't have the drive to make this full-time fan-funded artist gig a reality. He has one chance to show his the world what he's made of and he's blowing it. Deadlines are flying by with no explanation, he's losing the confidence of his donators, and I doubt he'll raise nearly as much money the second time around. I certainly won't be donating again.
