Duty Calls 2

“Clark Kent” effect is a real thing, and it explains how a racist mind
work. We are all somewhat racist in a subconscious level thanks to it,
but there's the bright side: if you are aware of clark kenting happening
to you, you just have to live among more diverse people (or, at least,
expose your visual cortex to them more often) to “update” your “standard
faces”. Boom. Unwanted racism gone.
Wait, so media won't offer
diverse casts in visual media to help us de-clark-kenting ourselves? We
are subject to the same “ethnic” actors over and over? Uh. Awkward.
(If
you are wondering why Bessie is wearing glasses: for the same reason
why anyone would wear glasses. She got a prescription for them. Yup.
Vampires can have sight problems. My vampires, my rules.)

@ Spikes: Different people, different preferences. Personally, I, generally, prefer seeing a cute girl in glasses. I feel it makes them about 10% cuter, and makes it harder to notice things I would normally consider minor appearance flaws. That said, I have seen the exception to the rule (for my case, at least) in a shopping centre once. An Asian woman with a tiny button of a nose that seemed to completely disappear due to her wearing glasses.

@Spikes - Everyone is better with the proper glasses and it's not up to discussion. xDD

Everyone says I look better without my glasses. But personally, I like the way I look with them. And my happiness trumps theirs ^_^
