Heh, I voted to see the original concept. By gods man, you truley know how to layout a page as seen by this very page right here. I envy you in a good way.
Very cool, I love this comic. I really don't know what's going on, though. :-( I figure it's kind of like a superhero disaster gone even more wrong in some part of the U.S... anyway, love the art.
Ha ha, I knew those specific details would get pointed out. My fault for not being careful. For the BIG BRO thing, Lughaidh's right. It just comes from them being really close growing up together. I would have had Claude say "...like your real brother" but it seemed kinda unnatural and would've implied either things that I'm not ready to imply or things that are just completely wrong, so I just settled on that end.
The relationship between Claude and Tracey is a complicated one as you'll see as the story progresses.
Oh, and about the key thing, you'll find out in the next page that Claude kinda doesn't live there anymore, but he does visit frequently.
I actually really like the cut-out speech bubbles. Pacing and layout, again, very awesome. Good work on the expressions with Tracey's eyes.
I have to agree with Brock about the "Big Bro" statement, it through me off. I'm fairly certain that it's a just a term of endearment from when they were kids and that they're not actually blood-relateed.
Also, why are Claude's car keys and house keys seperate? It seems to me like he was driving from the second panel.
That last panel is fantastic. I just love the composition of it and the staging to get there. Plus, your art has a great feel to it and I always enjoy looking it over.
All that said...I had to read this through a couple of times to understand what they were talking. Even now, I'm not so sure. I think the sticking point for me is the fourth panel when Claude says Trace use to call him "Big Bro" but then he mentions her brother and it seems clear he's not talking about himself. This might be cleared up by remembering more clearly what came before, but I guess I don't. Anyways, it just tripped me up, but it's a minor detail at best.
