#759 This meeting's OVER!

Oo, Charby was too mad to notice something…

Did I say something foolish about drivers in my keyboard? ^_^ the fact of the matter was (besides it being a huge weird kb that plugs into a usb instead of the kb port) it would simply not work until I got Driver Detective (for my moniter and other things) and we had to use a real cheap simple keyboard to get things to boot from the menu after we nuked everything on the HD and started again from scratch. Maybe it has something to do with all the nav buttons on the top of it, I dunno. I'm not even gonna pretend I know what's up with it!

Now to address a few things I should have! Scotodino are actually a thing I made up for the comic (there is in fact several types of things I made for the comic! That is to mention, Lemuro, orycalopes, welves, some few un-named species and of course the Elites) Zeno was not actually raised in Mexico but he was born there. If I go into this further, I'll be giving away plot ^_^ I tried to drop a few hints about his accent in here, but it's not as obvious as Tony. He did call Azelea “chica” once, but I didn't want to have him flinging out Spanish all the time or it would get a little obnoxious. After all, in Kellwood he was raised to speak primarily in English, and his friends speak it as well. He doesn't suffer from speech impediments like Tony.
A fun fact though, his character design was indeed initially inspired by a picture in a Spanish handbook that was a snapshot of a “Day of the Dead” celebration, in which people had their faces painted like skulls and these also adorned their clothes and festive wear. There was also a picture illustrated in a traditional native style that showed a few “trickster” spirits, which were also skeletal looking (one was a coyote I believe). I also incorperated some scarecrow designs into his character, what with the big crooked smile and stringy hair.
The horns and wings of course were borrowed from a character I hadn't really developed much, but had drawn a few pictures of in the 90's. He ended up being adopted by Night School, and that character was Damianos (you could also say that Charby and Mannick got the rest of his features. Except neither of them has a lazy eye…)

I also noticed a few time offsite some people were wondering how many artists are involved in this comic! haha! Just one, and that's me. It's probably because I redvamped some of the old archive pages to be kind to new readers! I dunno why people are confused, though, if they read the intro page I did explain that the early stuff was really bad… ah well. It's not likely that anyone that wonders this will bother reading the massive notes I've written today and see this, but to be clear: all the art and writing in CTV are by Amy Stroffolino (formerly Tomlinson). If I had someone else do the art on here I'd let you know, I don't stiff people on credit. The only thing that I didn't do myself is this lovely site layout, whom I owe a debt of gratitude to ozoneocean for setting up and designing for me! I'm gonna try and make an actual title image, I might end up begging for more help though heh heh.

Vote incentive on TWC is Kavonn drawn in a style he just might disapprove of!
