Yes, he found the alp right away due to it starting with the letter “a”! Also, there's an entry for the alp luachra right under it, but the text is too tiny to read of course. That one is pretty difficult to find info on as well, but it's basically a newt that takes control of your body and forces you to eat and drink massive amounts of food while appearing to waste away despite the constant greedy consumption. The way to defeat this creature was to eat a lot of salt and wait by the river until it jumps out desperate with thirst!

Of course as was pointed out earlier, alps aren't common, in fact rare, in a place like Kellwood. Who'd think that German creatures like the alp would be so far from home? Think about it like this, there's probably little reason to think you'll encounter a Tasmanian devil in your local forest(or if you lived in Tasmania of course, something like a panda) even if someone released one that was being kept illegally or it escaped from a zoo. Blaine may not have a full bestiary on what's living in Kellwood, but that's because he's been smart enough not to wander too far into a place you can get lost forever in. At any rate, Tony pointed it out himself, there were alps all over when he lived in Germany, but he took quite a while to meet anyone at least his height on the other side of the ocean.
