Janus is pretty much an oddball. In a town of fairly happy people, Janus is kind of a dour child. Maybe not as much as I'm portraying him, but then again this comic is a parody.
Anyway, you don't really have to talk to him. You're actually supposed to follow Schala, but following someone after you told them you weren't spying is kind of suspicious.
