I made this clear before DD.com went down, and I guess I just never said it ever since it came up; The whole point of CaR was to be a sketchy-like comic. The first page inspired the rest and so on and so forth.
While the lines do get darker over the next few episodes, they're never fully black, and the coloring is never acceptionally done... all for the purpose of quick-made comics.
