I would predict problems with control. With lot of colateral damage.
Of course, they may also handwave that and let Captain Awesome beat him just because he's SO awesome.

So did Eruption just get saddled with Bob? That would be hilarious... And I am NOT going to compliment RD on the excellence of his artwork, nor am I going to go on about how amazingly awesome it is, because that would just be following the crowd, and I am a Lone Wolf, baby!
This is getting depressing. The Bad Guys not only have the initiative (Since the good guys haven't actually DONE anything to try to stop them yet) but they seem to have the heroes countered and overpowered at every turn.
I don't see a way out of this, barring some cheesy Deus Ex Machina.
Incredible page, RedDeath! I also like the different colors of Eruption's eyes in the last panel matching the powers he's taking. I also really like Energize's little grin in the second panel (makes the banter playful).
