You can learn a lot more about Hooli at Hooli's story in INDEFENSIBLE POSITIONS, the webcomic that Dead Debbie figures in. Remus is obviously no slouch with human figures, but he really shines on backgrounds, and the spooky, telling detail– and I think this is a beautiful example. Can there be art in a world where everyone is smiling and happy, albeit ghoulishly? Isn't discontent a prime component of the artistic impulse? Hooli is above all, born of an artist's yearnings…how would she react to Smiley's reality?
Oh, remember we started a thread about suggestions of names for the team? I took some of the first suggestions and added them to the logo on the webcomicsnation site. I took several suggestions from the creator of INSANITY OF XADE, one for Tuurontour, and one from…myself. Those of you who have made other suggestions, rest assured they will probably get a link and space on one week's logo. If you'd like to get that—make suggestions on this thread.
Next week we have a very special treat, an early Christmas present. Be here.
LOL! I just looked. You guys liked all 3, and happened to chose the ones I envisioned saying them. Either I'm a huge fan of all the heros or I'm just that geeky....err...deep down inside.
wow, I cant belive that you like my suggestions, and I havent updated the main site in a while...then again, this gives me good reason to. :P I'll park the history stories there. You know, with a little html you can change the title of the drunk duck site as well. Mine is in html...
Most interesting development here. the tower decaying is a nice touch
I remember when reading INDEFENSIBLE POSITIONS, that it reminded me a lot of Morrison's Doom Patrol--both extremely weird and seemingly random. Good call, Legacyhero!
The disturbing randomness of this beautifully rendered page, reminds me of Grant Morrison's run on "The Doom Patrol" comic.
So weird, but I couldn't stop reading it.
