This is actually pre-Gathering, so there are elements here that will come into effect later. In what way, I cannot tell you, because that would be spoiling, and nobody likes a spoilsport.
So anyway, we'd like to thank Ben again for helping us out in a jam. Who knows? You might even see some of Ben's art again.
Well...I THOUGHT mine would go up this morning if Neil hadn't finished...evidently it was deleted to keep it from automatically updating at midnight.
In the interim, you might check out the latest GREEN AVENGER at http://www.green-avenger.com/

Wellll....
Neil had to redraw part of the cover he was planning (you'll see why it's so special once it's up) and I haven't heard from him since yesterday.
Look, there is definitely going to be something new here tomorrow. Either the first page OF the chapter, or the chapter "cover" itself. The first two pages are drawn and ready to run, I just want to give Neil a chance. If the "cover" goes up tomorrow, we'll move the next page to Thursday, okay?
Fair to all?
Good stuff! ^.^ I imagine Smiley's hole in reality opening up either like brickwork being taken down or a complex series of differently sized slats opening much like a series of automatic doors stacked on top of each other.
Well, I thought the best shot would have been maybe the community project category. Otherwise, I wasn't expecting to wake up and have a nomination waiting for me.
Maybe next year. We should be wrapping up right about then, if not sooner.
I'm actually surprised Crossoverlord didn't get nominated for the Superhero category. Seemed like a shoe-in to me.
It's too bad there isn't a "crossover" category.
Besides, it's not like we campaigned for it or anything. And many of the ones that WERE nominated, like BGH, SHADES, and ACROBAT, are very deserving of it in the superhero category.
No, no... We like having our dreams and aspirations built up and then dashed to pieces upon the sobering rocks of reality. Pah... Who needs a Drunk Duck Award? At least we know that we've walked away with the gold in the webcomic award show of your mind.
Don't worry about it. I enjoy early morning grogginess and the unintended comedy it provides.
Ignore previous comment. (Can I withdraw a comment? lol!) Needs...coffee...badly...
It is a good flashback sequence. I especially like the final panel.

I REALLY, really really like that sort of dark "reality tearing apart" effect when Smiley shows up at the end. Very good effect, Ben!
