I think the girl is from the future. The witch is probably gathering people from the past present and future like Sally and the E-girl's bodyguards.

Egad! @ Kou, there's a link on the lefthand side of site under "Miscellaneous" Maxine is another of Hawk's characters from otherstuff. She was a mascot for "MAX" and has been in at least one other comic (I know of a collab project thingy, not sure what else) @Hawk: Is the newer maxine design influenced at all by that chick from Wreck it Ralph? or is this an older idea that has just been waiting to show itself?

Way to drop a bomb shell then just leave it. Well nice page. Nice second panel having her eyes looking around and the holo panel in front of her and her gun out and at the ready really makes the whole scene seem urgent. Interesting idea of having for this joke comic having a serious page where the hero(s) have an ally appear from the shadows.
