I should note that this story falls AFTER the whole bully incident Brooke told us about earlier. They were kids then, and they're teenagers now.

If you hadn't picked it up from the comic previously, Brooke is pretty far behind her classmates in magical ability. She's trying to focus on healing but hasn't mustered much of anything yet. However, Vivian is actually one of the best in the class.

I kind of regret this whole page now. Vivian's clothing design is a bit too saucy for my liking, and the dialogue here is very blunt and expository. I think I could make them speak a bit more naturally at this point. Maybe sometime down the road I'll try redesigning Vivian for fun.

Vivian's clothing design is a bit too saucy, but what, she's teenager. She will regret ever wearing such clothes few years later but now it seems like a good idea to her.

I didn't pay attention to her saucy clothing, but you're right. She's dressed like some kind of enchantress.

I guess I never really connected the idea that Alec at the top of his class and Brooke at the bottom of hers would be such a big issue, cool.
