the ritual required the daemon to die and her blood to fuel the ritual. the ritual was half complete. if you look closely you will see that the blade shed her blood but did not take her life. the ritual was half complete and like any magic like a computer it tried to fulfill the task it was told to do till it could no longer make sense of it. the girl with dark eyes is the evil that was released and the girls body is the host body. Lucy died and the evil that was released moved into her dead body. i think we will see the outcome of this in the future.
