Everyone had their color schemes when I plotted this years ago; the woman in the last panel is pink and purple, Carole is yellow and red, the guy is black and white, and the daruma is red and gold.

She hardly knew what she was wishing; it was just the inexpressible feeling of being trapped. She almost believed that as she thought about it, she was exhaling the feeling with every breath.

She has an inferiority complex, so she always thought he was leaving her for someone "better." Carole is a shallow, vindictive character based on someone I know. XD

No one is better than anyone else. There is better connection between two people. Also like the hat.
