I get a sense of danger from this hospital too...not sure if its the normal reaction to an amputation or if there's something sinister up with these people...

The ol' sawbones. Seriously, though, people were critical of Civil War surgeons for being fast to amputation, but if those wounds were presented to modern medicine, amputation would be the best course to lifesaving.

Just felt appropriate (Hey I'm a Liberal Arts major haha). Absolutely beautiful page, and this is strange interesting society they've stumbled upon. I sense a dangerous foreboding but at least they're safe for now!!
