The 4ums - 001

Aha! I just found another abandoned comic of mine. Looks like DSC has updates for a few more days again. =)
Anyway, This one was kinda quirky. I personally loved it. The sprites were seriously small, as they were all meant to be compatible as icons as well as characters. And thus new poses were pretty easy to do, and because I had serious problems saying I ever ran an 8-bit comic (It's just way too easy to do, IMO) I created what I dubbed “12 bit” spriting. 8 bit bases with multicolor palettes. I was creating a new forum (I used to run an old one for the SG cast & fans, Shut down now) with a completely custom graphic design, layout, features, etc, ‘Cause recently alot of the community’s I frequented were dying out. In fact the entire RM2K3 community I knew has, to my knowledge dissolved into nothing as of today. Either way it crashed pretty soon (Completely unrecoverable) due to the fact I was leeching a free DNS off some people. And hence the “Sens Forum” comics, (Which were to be just filled with inside humour from the forums) died pretty quickly after they were made. Now the forum still exists as an extremely-dead Gaia Guild bought by yours truly, in what I consider the biggest waste of 20'000 gaia gold ever.
…I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all the spriting I did for this comic. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Descriptions too long.

I'm going to have to search for some of these websites on archive.org now. Cuz darkdominion and Dev Empire can still be found sometimes through that site. And that's incredible considering what a huge impact those websites had, being some of the first english RPG maker sites in existence.

Holy shit. Those are some real OG websites I mentioned there. Very niche and for those in the know back in the original RPG maker community's. So obscure in fact that I forgot most of them except Dark Dominion and Dev Empire which still gets brought up in RPG maker circles today, when people are discussing their roots and beginnings in the RPG maker community. I didn't think they were so important then, I didn't realize I was witnessing something historical that wasn't always going to be there. I miss that shit. I still wonder what happened to Evinkarr of the Wind, Four Swords Link, Kav and Showkaizer. I know Showkaizer is still around under the name sal-o-mac and is a professional. His Halfkaizer sprites are still circulated around the RPG maker community to this day, though he drew them over 15 years ago, and they are admittedly not even his favorite creation. It's wild to know I was hanging out with art legends.
