Dire Palisade-19

The first part of this story is coming to a close in a couple of installments. I may put this one on the shelf due to a lack of time and I think these sketches are a little on the crappy side. I really dig this story and wish I could make it a multi-panel daily…maybe someday I'll re-draw and make a go of it full tilt for Dire Palisade.

I'm surprised you managed to keep it up as long as you did, I had begun to think that you were some manner of comic creating robot. And I love the art, I've always liked sketchy or surreal art more than detailed realistic art. Ethan should smash her face right in, she's probably a spy, and if she isn't, she'll only slow him down.

Don't smash pretty girl!! I'll miss this comic. But you do have 14 others to read..;)

Didn't read your message before commenting... I should have... I like the sketchy old-fashioned style of this particular comic.. They're absolutely not on the crappy side.. Of course they're much less detailed than your other stories (especially "the Electric Owl", where the details impress me every time again). I think they have a quality of their own. I don't mind having one panel at a time neither. The story is very captivating so far, promising for the future. A lot of questions have to be answered yet. I understand, however, that you could have a time problem because you are putting a lot of stories at the same time. I myself don't understand how you manage. I already have time problems with my sketchy comic and I'm updating only twice a week! Anyway, I wanted to tell you that Drunk Duck should remain fun for the readers but especially for the authors... There should be no stress at all, no deadlines, no obligations... We already have enough to deal what in our real lives, don't we? I guess what I'm trying to tell is that, while I enjoy every update of each one of your awesome comics, I don't expect you to update. I'm grateful for every page you want to share with us. You won't lose me as a fan even if taking a long break!

I really enjoy the hasty, highly-stylized drawings. I've found that artists tend to equate less time with lower quality in their work, but often quick sketches can be just as entertaining as the "full-blown" thing. I've also found that artists can do great things when not preoccupied with concers like publishing. In short: If you decide not to continue with this, I hope it's purely a time-use decision (I wouldn't want your other comics to suffer either!), and not because of any notions about quality.
