Here we get a reunion with not only the father but the man in the cage. Together they will embark on the last journey.

The fathers dialogue hints at it here and there throughout the comic, but he appears more as a symbol than a real person. As seen on page 31 the boy never really gets to know his father before he is killed in the war. He is just a small boy when it happens and as such the memory of the father is made up to help him cope the events that follow.
