Due East - Book 4 Page 19

September 8, 2008: Page 20 is mostly done! It is inked, scanned and over halfway colored. All that's left is the rest of the coloring/lighting and the lettering!

August 22, 2008 Update: Okay, this week isn't going to happen but I am almost ready to start pencils on the next page. The script is finalized for pages 20 and 21. I've been somewhere between exhausted, working, participating in 4 DD Awards panels and doing a presentation for one of the DD Awards. Next week looks better. I'll keep you updated!

August 14, 2008 Update: Due East is a finalist in two categories of the Drunk Duck Awards 2008: Best Spiritual Comic and Most Profound Comic. What an honor! Thanks to all who voted/nominated us.

Also, I'm going to try to crank out Page 20 by the end of next week, if at all possible. :)

Original blurb: Back to the present, with inks and colors, as promised! When I started drawing this page, I realized I wanted it to look like a bright and happy page. Brielle already knew she could count on her dad, so she called on him to take her. And the conversation with Phira? We'll leave that to your imagination… :)

Thanks for all the kind comments on the last page. I wish I had room to reply to them all. Your comments are all deeply appreciated.

By now, you've probably noticed the new embedded music player. It seemed appropriate to add the music of First Light, the Christian band my wife and I in. The main theme behind “My Testimony” seemed to particularly apply to today's page. I hope you enjoy the rest of the songs!
